Bring our spy to life.

We’re building a 3D multiplayer espionage RPG in Unity — a modern revival of a cult-classic that ran for over 20 years and still has a devoted community. We’re not pre-concept or hoping it works. We run public playtests with a live player base, we’re entering festivals (currently sitting in FIRST PLACE at Indie Game Festival), and we have a tight team of senior developers shipping real systems every single week.

We already have a professional character, a solid rig, and a foundation of animations — but right now our spy is limited to what we can buy off the shelf, and he feels generic because of it. We need an animator to take that foundation and make it bespoke: sneaking, taking cover, handling gadgets, shooting — the little things that make a spy actually feel like a spy. This is your chance to put a festival-selected, traction-backed studio on your portfolio and own the way our character moves.

As our Animator, you will:

Work On

  • Customizing and editing our existing animations so our spy feels unique — not off-the-shelf
  • Animating spy-game action: sneaking, taking cover, shooting, and gadget handling
  • Retargeting and blending library animations onto our rigged character
  • Wiring animations into Unity — blend trees, layers, and state machines
Who we are looking for?
  • Strong character animation fundamentals — weight, timing, posing, believable movement
  • Comfortable customizing and editing our existing animations — and equally welcome if you can key original animation from scratch; both are valued
  • Unity animation experience — Animator controllers, blend trees, layers, retargeting
  • A game and action sensibility — locomotion cycles, combat, stealth that reads clearly
  • You take direction and iterate on feedback without ego — the producer signs off on the work
  • You’re careful with our shared rig and project files

Nice to Have

  • Rigging and skinning experience (bones and weights) — a strong bonus
  • Online multiplayer game animation experience
  • A demo reel featuring game-ready action animation
